I can't speak for most artists, but if you are true to your art, you shouldn't anticipate winning this award. This award is the icing on your cake of hard work. Never go into this or any art form just to claim this recognition. I've learned, and I'm still learning, that this has to come from the heart to make you feel your own self of personal accomplishment. The reward you get from this is doing what you love to do. And when that passion shines from within you, other will see it and follow that light that you emit.
A true star shines as bright as they possibly can, only then people will begin to admire its brilliance.
