One of my notorious things to do is study my competition. That is how you can learn from them, including all of their successes and failures. What I find most interesting is the ones that have tremendous success with little or no talent. That is the most frustrating and sometimes insulting thing to see or hear. Seems like the world of talent is nothing but a popularity contest. American Idol is a prime example of that. Yes we have some great singers on stage, but it seems like performance wise these artists are duds. Only a few stand out cause they have that charisma on stage. It takes more than just a nice voice to entertain. You should have that aura that captures people, makes them want to see more.
